The Simulation Academy is an innovative leader in the use of high-fidelity (fully interactive) computerized patient mannequins in clinical settings.
Academy resources can replicate virtually any condition or setting encountered in health care today—from surgery, critical care, and emergency medicine to neonatal intensive care and home health care. Academy “patients,” fifteen state-of-the-art simulators representing represent a range of ages and ethnic groups, enable students to experience critical situations without compromising patient safety.
Housed in the new M. Christine Schwartz Center for Nursing and Health Studies, Academy facilities (5,500 square feet) replicate modern hospital and community practice environments. The hospital units are equipped with the latest medical equipment and fully stocked with an array of medicines and medical supplies that can be found in any state-of-the-art clinical setting.
